A major multinational soft drinks manufacturer asked Eolas International to assist in its
Global Brand Protection Programme. This entails sourcing over 3,000 samples of its products
from 70 worldwide markets on an ongoing monthly basis. Products have to be purchased
and shipped within tight timelines and delivered in a coordinated way during each month.
The products are then tested by the client and exception reports generated.
Eolas International provided multimedia training material to over 80 of its international
researchers and ensured each had a thorough understanding of the project rules and
requirements before commencing. Researchers have to purchase samples in up to 20 stores
and must submit their product and purchasing data electronically to Eolas International
before being given authority to ship the samples. Standardised packaging was sourced to
minimise product damage in transit. Two of the Eolas International central team manage
the process, continuously liaising with the researchers and couriers to ensure a seamless
process with minimal client involvement.
The client uses this monthly quality data to monitor product quality in each country and to
drive quality improvement programmes.
